This is a simple RFID reader module with UART - TTL output. This RFID reader operates on 125KHz (LF). The approximate reading distance is 5-10cm depending up on the antenna coil. Any 125KHz proximity RFID tags, key-chain tags, laundry tags can be read using this module and tage number will be sent through UART. This is a read only module.


The special feature of this module is it has a simple access control system inbuilt to the module. There is no need for any additional external MCU to make an access control system.

 

The module can save up to 10 cards internally and everytime it compares the tag number with saved numbers and activates a relay output which can be connected to a magnetic lock to make it as a access control system. Anytime the user can erase the tag numbers saved in the modue and add new cards using simple method which is mentioned in the manual.


A complete RFID access control system is achieved with ultra small size of 33mm x 25mm.


This can be used for attendance system, access control system like projects. Simply show the tag in front of the reader and it outputs the number printed on the tag through UART as well as an relay output for access control system..
